Hays Education is currently working on behalf of several Secondary Schools based across South West London - Wandsworth, Croydon, Merton areas who are looking for reliable Secondary Supply teachers to provide day to day or short term cover on a daily or weekly basis.
You will have access to a pool of secondary schools, who are able to offer day to day cover, as well as short-term bookings for certain subjects. This will give you the opportunity to take a step back from full class teaching responsibilities. Every day will be different, but without all the planning, marking and key responsibilities a teacher would need.
Your new role
These roles will require teachers to be cover staff member, but not have the demand of planning or marking, you must also be able to commute to Wandsworth, Croydon, Merton . And have a flexible approach, as various schools might require different support.
These roles are short notice bookings to cover sickness or other absence for a day or a few in various schools across South West London.
What you'll need to succeed
These bookings will require the successful applicants to have a flexible approach, as cover work may vary from 1 to 5 days a week supply or longer.
You must have classroom-based experience in the UK, proven strong classroom and behaviour management.
You might also be required to work across the national curriculum, teaching Science, English, Religious Studies or Maths etc, so the knowledge of any of the subjects would be beneficial but not essential.
You will also have to be committed to commute to the mentioned areas of London.
