KS1 Teacher - Uckfield

KS1 Teacher job in Year 1 located in the Uckfield area. Full time, fixed term position with pay to scale.

Your new company

You will be working for a small year 1 class within a small school with a strong Christian ethos. The school has recently appointed a new Headteacher in January 2022 and is moving through a period of transformation, with some exciting changes. This role is based in a school that achieved a Good Ofsted rating in their last inspection.

Your new role

You will have the opportunity to work in a small year 1 class, requiring an adaptable teacher who has strong boundaries, yet is warm and caring. It would be an ideal school to work in if you are creative, enthusiastic and highly motivated. This role is initially a fixed term position, with opportunity for the post to become permanent for the right candidate. This role is from the beginning to the end of the summer term.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be a Primary Supply Teacher, you will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will ideally be a passionate, inspirational and highly skilled teacher, who understand and embrace the wonderful challenges and uniqueness of a small school. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to TAs and other people in the school.
