Your new school:
An opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Teacher to work within a medium-sized Primary School within the Welsh Valleys. The school is vibrant with a core value of ensuring equity and excellence.
If successful, you will be working with a team of dedicated staff who aim to develop and nurture creative working relationships with their colleagues and pupils.
Your new role:
You will be supporting a variety of classes and responsible for full-time teaching responsibilities, including preparation, for primary school classes sized between 20 and 30 pupils. Your duties will include and are not limited to:
• Creating lesson plans.
• Establishing and maintaining a safe, interactive, and engaging learning environment for the pupils.
• Demonstrating tasks, assigning, and encouraging participation.
The role is on a supply basis, having your own transport is preferable, but not essential.
What you'll need to succeed:
You will need to be a qualified teacher holding a valid QTS with a passion for creating a safe and welcoming environment for children to succeed. Some key attributes required will be for you to be enthusiastic, respectful, dedicated, empathetic and have a caring persona. Additional relevant skills include being reliable and providing a calm response whilst in the classroom.
You must have experience with children across each of the key stages.
You will need previous experience of working with children aged 3-11 within the past 2 years. You will hold an enhanced DBS check or be willing to undertake a new one.
