Your new company
Hays are proud to be working on behalf of a reputable charity who provides support to children within care. They are a growing organisation who have just opened a brand new residential home in Bury St Edmunds. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children in care and has experience within the social care sector.
Your new role
As a Children's Support Worker, you will be working hands-on, providing everyday support to children in a residential setting. These children have unfortunately been through extreme trauma and therefore need to be supported throughout the day and night.
You will be working within a close-knit staff team, providing emotional and therapeutic support, promoting independence and organising activities for these young people.
This is a full-time position and the hours will vary between mornings, evenings, sleepins and weekends. The full time working hours are 38 per week.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be patient and willing to thrive within a team environment. You must also be resilient to be able to manage challenging situations.
Ideally, you will have experience within the children's sector, or have experience working within social care in however, this is not essential if you have the right values, passion and enthusiasm about the role.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive rate of pay of up to £26,000 per annum depending on qualifications and including sleeping. Any overtime worked is also paid at an hourly rate.
