Your new company
Hays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a newly opened children's residential service in Chester as they require experienced and reliable support workers to support children and young people between the ages of 10 - 18. This service supports young people with EBD, trauma and possible dual diagnosis (ASD). This is a long-term temporary to permanent contract with shifts consisting of long-day sleeps and one waking night.
Your new role
In your new role you will be supporting children and young people with EBD, trauma and possible dual diagnosis. You will build strong constructive relations with the young people as to promote their independence, build self-esteem and teach invaluable life skills. You will plan inclusive and accessible activities for the young people to take part in and promote positive behaviours at all times. Other duties may include but won't be limited to observations, emotional support, behavioural support, assisted personal care (prompting hygienic needs), access to education, supervising on days out.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful with your application you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 6 months referenceable experience supporting children and/or young people in the last 6 months. Other desireables are:
