Year 5 Teacher - Blackpool

Your new company
Hays Education are working with a school in the Blackpool area looking to secure a Year 5 class teacher to start after the February half-term through until the end of the academic year. This is an Ofsted rated 'Good' school and has a great reputation throughout the community because of their sustained high achievement with their pupils. You will be joining a team of strong and supportive staff members who have a dedication to make sure their pupils perform at their absolute best.
Your new role
In this role, you will be taking on full responsibilities as class teacher, so this will include planning and delivering lessons as well as marking work. You will also be expected to attend staff meetings and parents' evenings. You should hold good knowledge of KS2 in order to prepare this year 5 for their final year in primary school and SATs. You will need to maintain discipline in this class to ensure pupils remain engaged and willing to learn. Pupils should be pushed to achieve their potential. You will be supported by an experienced TA.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must possess recent experience working with children. Subject leadership is desired, but not essential for this role. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). ECT's and NQT's are also welcome to apply.
What you'll get in return
