Your new companyWe are currently looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join Carmarthen Council's Long-term Children's Team. You will become a part of a warm and welcoming team that is dedicated to improving the lives of young people and children. As part of the long-term team, you will be provided with the best possible support to ensure that you can provide the best possible care and outcomes.
Your new role
You will be working in the role on a temporary basis and expected to work full-time hours. The 37.5 hours per week can be worked from home on flexitime, but you are expected to travel to the work setting in Llanelli if the workload that day requires you to do so. The team consists of 12 other permanent staff members, including 6 other Qualified Social Workers, that are committed to continuously building on their strengths and will help you to fit into the team as soon as possible.

What you'll need to succeed
A degree in Social Worker is essential, along with experience in Children's Services. However, the type of experience within Children's Services can be wide-ranging, with long-term care, court cases and Section 47 work being desirable. You must be registered with Social Care Wales and have a full UK driving licence. Being a friendly and approachable person is also important, making it easy to communicate with those both on your case load and your team.
