Support Worker – Waking Nights

Hull, Kirkella and Cottingham area’s

Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hpw) also, various Part-Time hours available

Starting salary £21,000 per annum depending on skills and experience

We have an amazing opportunity for you to join our new Complex Care service in Hull, helping our brilliant customers to live fulfilling lives in their own homes within the local community. You will be part of a team of Positive Behaviour Support Workers (PBS) working with individual customers with complex needs who will require people who are compassionate, warm, supportive, and willing to learn.  Our wonderful customers require a PBS approach when delivering care and support to meet their needs. We are looking for people with the right values who want to learn how to implement this approach, any experience in working in the field of PBS is a bonus.

About you

We would like you to be super passionate and motivated and you’ll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing our customers to work towards their goals and aspirations.  You will have some experience in safeguarding, risk assessments, confidentiality, support plans, alongside working collaboratively.

You will receive training, coaching, supervision and in situ support to help implement the best possible care. You’ll also be willing to provide personal care when required, so some experience in physical assistance to help wash, (shower or bath) dress, oral care is also highly desirable. You’ll ideally hold Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent or be willing to study for this which we’ll support you, it would also be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however it’s your “can do” positive attitude and enthusiasm that are most important to us.

Where and when you’ll work

Our customers will need 24/7 help to meet their needs, so you’ll take your turn with your team working on a rota.  Shifts available are nightshift weekends & bank holidays with the option of working days if you wish too.

At Home Group we are proud to build our teams with flexibility, while we focus on colleague wellbeing to help prevent against burnout etc. It is because of this that we know we will have a shift pattern that works for you.

When you join, you’ll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you don’t have a transferrable one.
