Refuge Domestic Abuse Practitioner

Your new company
Hays are proud to be working on behalf of a charity which supports victims of domestic abuse within different settings, including supported housing and within the community. This organisation are growing and therefore they are recruiting a new member of staff to join their team.
Your new role
The purpose of this role is to deliver a high quality and specialist service to support women, men and children experiencing domestic abuse. This will include assisting with therapeutic recovery and providing emotional support to those residing in sheltered accommodation. During this role, you will also be supporting clients and their families with building a future for themselves and also working in resettlement for the individuals once they have left refuge.
You will be also be accepting referrals and commencing risk assessments to manage and address risks.
This role is full time and permanent. 37.5 hours per week spread between Monday to Friday however sometimes overtime will be required. (Paid at enhanced rate)
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you MUST have experience working with victims of domestic abuse, whether that is within the community or through a helpline environment, however included within this you must have experience in managing a caseload and have worked within a multi-agency and legislative framework. The ideal candidate would have completed a similar role before and also hold relevant training around Safeguarding Adults and Children.
For this role you must also be a car driver as this role will require some travel.
