Hays are delighted to be working in partnership with a reputable, local Cost Consultancy to recruit a Chartered Building Surveyor on a permanent basis. Your new company provides Quantity Surveying, Quality Assurance and Cost & Design Determination to both public sector bodies and private companies throughout Northern Ireland and is providing a fantastic opportunity to join their team of experienced Quantity Surveyors and Building Surveyors who have extensive experience in the successful delivery of outstanding commercial and domestic projects. This is an exciting time to join this company as they head into 2024 as one of the leading Cost Consultancies with numerous upcoming projects currently on their books.

Your new role
As a Senior Building Surveyor, you will have numerous responsibilities including undertaking efforts to support an already successful Department with a wide range of domestic, commercial, health and education projects. This position encompasses all of the technical aspects of a Building Surveying role as well as developing and maintaining the relationships between new and existing clients. Reporting to the Building Surveying Partner, you will lead a mix of projects across the public and private sectors, focusing initially on Housing Association schemes.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position you should possess a relevant RICS accredited Building Surveying degree, demonstrate team working qualities, Chartered, Good interpersonal skills and ability to quickly form professional relationships with colleagues and clients at all levels of seniority. It is expected that you have obtained an additional year of experience since obtaining your Chartership, however, exceptional candidates with less than a year should not be deterred from applying.
