Registered Manager Offsted- Batley

Responsibilities:

  • Overall Management:
    • You will be the person with overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the children's home.
    • Ensuring the home complies with children's home regulations and meets the Ofsted Quality standards is imperative.
    • Efficiently managing the house budget to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Care and Welfare:
    • Exceptional care and support: Leading the staff team to deliver high-quality care and support.
    • Creating and delivering positive outcomes for the children and young people.
    • Formulating and updating placement plans, risk assessments, and positive handling plans.
  • Strategic Planning and Compliance:
    • Strategic planning: Contributing to the continuous improvement of care standards within the home.
    • Upholding the Statement of Values and promoting a positive image of the organization.
    • Ensuring a high level of compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Advocacy and Leadership:
    • Being an advocate for the young people, ensuring they receive the services they require.
    • Leading the staff team to achieve outstanding provision at all times.
  • Qualifications and Skills:
  • Registration: You will be registered with Ofsted as a suitable manager for the home.
  • Experience: Prior experience in social care or related roles is essential.
  • Values and Approach:

  • Training and Progression:
  • Consider undertaking training programs such as:
    • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (relevant for children's homes too).
    • Manager Induction Standards.
    • Connecting well: Nurturing partnerships and demonstrating best practice.
    • UK driver's licence is essential for the role.
