The Welsh Government has established a National Infrastructure Commission for Wales (NICW) to support independent, better informed advice on a longer-term strategy of infrastructure investment and the delivery of our net zero decarbonisation targets, which enshrines the principles of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015. The NICW is a non-statutory, advisory body. Its remit is to focus on the economic and environmental infrastructure needs of Wales over 5 – 80 years.
