Wilds Lodge School is an independent 38 week specialist boarding and day provision for boys and girls (girls are accepted as day students only) for students aged between 5 and 19 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties, set in Empingham, Rutland.

Job role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Science specialist who will be able to deliver Science up to GCSE double award and work with our pupils who have a wide range of ability levels. Science has a strong profile in the school from Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 5 and has been very successful in the transition to the new more challenging curriculum. The opportunity to teach another relevant subject may be available to an interested candidate.

This role would be suitable for both ECTs and experienced teachers. Regardless of experience, the successful candidate will have the ability to embrace the inclusive therapeutic culture and ethos of the school. A strong commitment to raising achievement and standards is required along with an informed and creative approach to curriculum delivery.

Requirements

Hold qualified teacher status (QTS) or have recent experience of teaching 11-18 year olds.
Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of teachers.
Have a passion for teaching with the ability to plan & deliver inspiring and creative lessons.
Have excellent subject knowledge and depth of understanding
