Your new role
In your new role as an Assistant Site Manager, you will work under an experienced Site Manager on a new build development. Taking a supportive role in the project, you will assist in the day-to-day management of the site. You will be involved in site inductions, safety checks on site, management of direct labour and subcontractors, updating site records and working with the Senior Site manager to resolve any issues on site and to keep the site working smoothly.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this position, previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Trainee Site Manager would be advantageous. Strong skills and knowledge in the construction sector would also be required. Applicants from a trade or technical background would be considered. Ideally, you will hold qualifications in Construction Management such as HNC / HND or an SVQ. This role will require you to have a CSCS card, SMSTS and First Aid - there is potential to be supported in obtaining these tickets for the role.
