Job Description

The role

COVID -19 update

We\'re actively looking for people to join our teams, and we\'re committed in protecting your health and wellbeing during every step of our recruitment process. If you\'re successful in securing a role with us you\'ll find we\'ll be doing things a little bit differently! This may mean you\'ll initially join our team working from home. During this time, we\'ll work with you to make sure you have the tools and equipment you need and that you feel part of our amazing DLG team!

What we're looking for:

We are currently looking for someone to join our Commercial team on a 4-6 month fixed term contract as an eTrade Triage Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience of commercial insurance, underwriting principles, and risk management.

This role could be ideal for someone with an interest in insurance, who has an investigative nature. You\'ll be social media savvy with good knowledge of web-based search tools, such as Google Maps and Companies House. If you have put your research skills to use in the past either in your work or education then so much the better.

Who you'll be working with:

You will work alongside different teams within our Commercial insurance sector, such as Commercial Pricing, Underwriting and Risk Management teams, and you will use your investigative skills to research and analyse newly placed risks in a fast paced environment.

What you'll be doing:

Analyse broker submissions, assessing the information acquired via quote or external sources and reporting to Risk Management and Underwriting

Using open source investigation to uncover unfavourable risk features and collaborating closely with colleagues as to potential remedial work and action

Show curiosity and resourcefulness in investigating potential sources of data and undertaking research

Take ownership of the investigation process, looking and appraising new open source data sources and developing a robust, accurate and timely methodology to deliver value to the business

Aid in the development, and lead on the maintenance of a reporting framework to track trends, risk indicators and data

Ensure that information being provided is accurate and up to date, flagging cases where there may be concerns and providing accurate analysis to stakeholders to help round out solutions

Build relationships across the Surveying, Underwriting and Pricing teams to communicate findings and help underpin some of the risk selection criteria

Reinforce the culture and core values of Direct Line Group through appropriate behaviours and actions.

Ensure compliance with core Direct Line Group Policies, statutory and regulatory requirements, governance controls (including all relevant risk minimum standards) and timely completion of risk and audit actions. Ensure reputational risk is minimised.

What we'll give you:

We have a strong focus on developing you and your skill set and work hard to give you the tools to do so. In addition to this we also offer a generous benefits package including 22 days annual leave, family and work life balance focused options such as: fully paid maternity leave and parental leave, flexible working, insurance savings for you as well as a range of other optional benefits!

PLEASE NOTE:

We strongly recommend that you do not provide your bank account details when applying for a job. If you see a vacancy on Asian Jobsite requesting bank account details please email webmaster@asianjobsite.co.uk
