About the Role
You will join a growing and exciting international business and play a key role in ensuring we deliver costs savings, maximum value and a quality service across the organisation. As Procurement & Contract Manager, you will be a key player for the Geospatial Category team supporting our strategic objectives, including high level procurement activity within our Operations, Innovation & International Business Units. Within our Geospatial Team you will be responsible for delivering against the PSGA contract, as well as Geospatial Data Capture, supporting proof of concept technologies, 3rd Party Data management and our growing international presence.

You will be a team player who will be responsible for the strategy and delivery of all elements of procurement and contract management within your designated category areas. Stakeholder engagement and relationship building, internally and externally, is key to the successful delivery of this role to ensure that successful business outcomes are achieved.
Your analytical and methodical approach will enable you to fully understand your category area and analyse market and industry data to develop and implement procurement strategies which fulfil OS business requirements. Your strategic thinking will allow you to evaluate and recommend sourcing options, tactics, implementation plans, commercial supply risks, whilst ensuring compliance with all Public Sector legislative requirements. In summary, you will be influencing the whole end to end process.
The role will be pivotal in ensuring financial savings, performance improvements and added value are made through a strategic and integrated approach to how we manage and work with our suppliers, and our internal business stakeholders. You will need to demonstrate the following:
Strategic procurement and supplier/contract management experience in the relevant category areas
Strong knowledge of spend analytics and reporting
Experience of procurement strategy and delivery
Proven track record in engaging with and influencing a complex and diverse range of stakeholders
The ability to be flexible in your approach to work allocated
Part qualified / working towards CIPS or equivalent experience in a public sector environment

Location: This role would normally be based at our state of the art Headquarters in Southampton, however in accordance with Government guidelines, OS are supporting our teams with Working From Home. It is anticipated that a hybrid approach to office / WFH will be adopted in the future. Consideration will be given for the right candidate to work remotely (occasional travel to Explorer House will be required as necessary to support projects).
