The Marketing Manager plays an important role contributing to the banks growth of personal Retail Banking and Business Banking customers and helping to raise the profile of the bank externally to deliver its key commercial objectives. This role is responsible for working collaboratively with all members of the Marketing & Communications team as well as key internal and external stakeholders to promote the brand and the products & services efficiently and effectively through all media channels.

Responsibilities

Support the Senior Marketing Manager in the planning, execution, and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns for personal and Business banking products & services, across all channels.

Create, deliver, and measure marketing activity to meet specific objectives in the Marketing & Communications teams workplan and is supportive of the wider banks objectives

Support in driving the business forward, maintaining and growing its position within the market

Create and oversee the creation of marketing content and assets across multiple formats, repurposing content for appropriate channels

Write compelling customer communications that enhance the customer experience across the customer lifecycle

Oversee the organic social media strategy and content production process including line management of the Social Media and Content officer and Marketing Production Assistant

Deliver innovative marketing initiatives and drive robust innovation, including analysis and evaluation

Work with our network of customers and partners to find new opportunities and create great content and campaigns for our shared audiences

Work collaboratively with the Senior Marketing Manager to carry out necessary research and analysis to derive insights to understand customer & prospects, their motivations, and drivers etc. to deliver successful marketing activities

Support the Marketing & Communications team in driving innovation, including the evaluation and management of risk, and developing best practice and governance

Actively manage third party suppliers ensuring best practice and partnership working to achieve successful outcomes

To be brand expert and guardian, ensuring consistent and coherent delivery and application inside and outside the bank

Effectively manage key stakeholders, creating partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure workplan goals are reached

Working with Marketing & Communications team members to help ensure the department adheres to internal policies, procedures, and processes necessary for the banks compliance and internal control framework

Working with the Senior Marketing Manager to agree and manage promotional budgets for relevant marketing activities

Overseeing, managing, and participating in ad hoc projects that may include risk management, and general improvements to back office handling

The Marketing Manager will have extensive experience in marketing, both planning and execution, across all channels. Highly desirable skills are stakeholder management, influencing and the ability to multi-task. The role holder should be able to present information clearly and with confidence and have excellent communication skills, verbal and written. There are multiple stakeholders with whom to engage and interdependent deliverables and requirements, so it is essential to be able to deal positively with pressure and be well organised.

What we offer

In return for your commitment and hard work, you will be rewarded with a salary of up between £37,000 to £45,000 (depending on experience). We believe people should be properly and appropriately paid for their work but that there should also be a fair distribution of the value the bank generates, which is why we do not have performance related pay or bonuses. Instead, we have an extensive benefits package where most of our benefits are non-contributory. Our benefits include:

Non-contributory pension scheme from your first day of 8% in year 1 and 10% from year 2 onwards

Life Assurance (worth 4 times basic pay)

Income Protection - 75% of basic pay after 13 weeks sick and following six months service

Vitality Leave After each 7 years of service, you will be able to take a sabbatical of up 3 months

25 days (FTE) plus bank holidays per annum with additional increase in holiday though length of service (up to 5 days FTE)

Season Ticket Loan available for commuting into the office

A wellbeing allowance of £100 a year
