The Vendor Manager is responsible for the oversight of third-party Vendor Management within TBUK encompassing Contract Management, Supplier Performance Management, Supplier Relationship Management and Procurement best practice. The Vendor Manager develops and maintains UK Vendor Management & Procurement policies and best practices aligned to relevant Triodos and UK regulator policies and guidance.

Vendor Management is responsible for providing oversight and challenge to all third party supplier relationships enabling Triodos goals which include; suppliers to producing the required services and solutions, at the required costs, realising desired efficiencies and to the required standard of quality whilst meeting Triodos requirements for sustainability and fulfilling regulatory expectations from outsourced suppliers.

Responsibilities

Specialist:

Ensure the importance and benefits of vendor management are promoted across the organisation

Responsible for driving vendor management excellence and continuous improvement, best value, and quality improvements within the team and TBUK through challenging existing practices and actively seeking ways to achieve better outcomes

Ensure the management of key supplier relationships are improved across three streams: Contract Management, Supplier Performance Management and Supplier Relationship Management in line with relevant policies

Provide advice and subject matter expertise to second and third lines of defence to answer information requests from regulators, external and internal audit

Provide advice to Contract Managers, Contract owners and Service Managers on questions of procurement, vendor management and contract management

Policy, Strategy & Process guidance:

Take ownership of the development, review, implementation and continuous improvement of relevant policies, training materials, procedures, and policies

Ensure all aspects of regulatory compliance are adhered to in respective policies

Implement strategies that safeguard Triodos Bank commercial risk

Enable Contract Owners and Contract Managers to achieve 3rd party compliance to key policies such as Conduct Risk, Complaints, Risk Management, Anti Money Laundering, Information Security and Data Protection (where relevant)

Review / contribute to the group VM domain (policies, standards, guidelines etc)

Delivery:

Responsible for developing the annual work plan which contributes to the TBUK business plan

Act as an escalation point for Vendor Management issues that require handling at a more senior level, escalating to Heads Of as appropriate

Participate in local and international projects within area of Vendor Management

Facilitate the business in risk identification, risk assessment and risk response regarding vendor management specific risks

Oversee implementation of the relevant policies and the adherence of the policy during outsourcing activities.

To be successful in the role, you will have experience of working in vendor management, purchasing, contracting, or related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders (including international colleagues and senior managers), strong negotiating and influencing skills. Strong planning, prioritisation and time management skills coupled with a good eye for detail, a pragmatic approach to problem solving and the ability to deal positively when under pressure. Membership of CIPS and/or evidence of equivalent qualifications. Knowledge of UK banking regulator policies and guidance in the field.

What we offer

In return for your commitment and hard work, you will be rewarded with a salary of up to £45,000 (depending on experience). We believe people should be properly and appropriately paid for their work but that there should also be a fair distribution of the value the bank generates, which is why we do not have performance related pay or bonuses.
