What we're looking for:

We are looking for an experienced Brand Planner whose understanding of Customers sits at the heart of how they build, differentiate and protect brands.

This is a full-time, 9 Month fixed term contract role and will be based from our head office in Bromley with some homeworking expected.

You will be awesome at analysing and interpreting customer insight, assessing competitors and market factors (incl. alternative forms of distribution) and wider environmental factors (e.g. PEST). Youll convert this data into meaningful insight and use this to make recommendations for brand strategy and the plans needed to execute against that strategy i.e. product, place, price and promotion.

We are looking for someone that understands Marcomms, the different roles of the comms hierarchy (brand v product v direct response), how different media channels work, methods of measurement and how to drive out improvements. In addition, we need someone who has a strong understanding of proposition development and how to match insight with business capability to deliver unique offerings.

Youll also need excellent knowledge of brand identity guidelines how to build, evolve and apply them.

Strong collaborative stakeholder management skills are essential. You need to be able to build strong relationships with ease and effectively influence and challenge others to ensure the best outcome is achieved.

Who youll be working with:

Youll work cross functionally within a €œsquad€. Each Squad is tasked with a shared mission for which all Squad members are jointly accountable. The Squad methodology follows agile principles and processes and you will need to embrace this way of working to be part of a truly autonomous team.

This role will also include working closely with, agency partners, Chapter Leads and colleagues across DLG to achieve squad missions.

What youll be doing

Developing and defining target audiences, understanding the value they bring to the business.

Developing deep customer insight and creating an articulation of the role of a brand.

Writing research briefs to test customer insight and inform brand positioning / brand and product developments.

Creating a differentiated brand positioning and using the drivers of brand equity to build brand strategies and incorporate into annual planning briefs.

Writing a brand strategy as well as the plans needed to execute against that strategy

Developing and governing the brand guidelines including iconography, imagery, language & messaging.
