The Chief Security Office (CSO) plays a vital role in delivering Lloyds
Banking Group's vision of putting customers at the heart of everything we
do, helping Britain prosper, and protecting the Group and its customers and
suppliers from security threats. It's responsible for defining and
communicating the Group's security strategy and providing dedicated support
and constructive challenge to business areas to ensure the delivery of an
effective and compliant security risk management framework
Join is in Vulnerability Analytics, it's an emerging field in Cyber Security
which uses data analysis techniques to create an understanding of the
execution and performance of security processes and controls to provide
actionable insights into their improvement. Our role gives us insights into
the security processes across the bank, including during system design and
development as part of the SDLC, and from regular assessments of operational
systems.
What you'll be doing...
* Supporting the creation and maintenance of data analysis systems, created
using Python and running in containers on the GCP cloud platform.
* Production and maintenance of quality measures to indicate the
performance of systems
Key responsibilities include:
* Working collaboratively with other teams across Chief Resilience &
Security Office, Chief Information Office and the business, focused on
measuring and improving the security posture of the Group.
* Create and maintain systems to acquire, transform security data and
inform security decisions.
* Identify and drive continuous improvement within the team and support the
direction of overall LBG strategy.
* Mentoring and developing capability in junior members of staff.
What we're looking for...
We're looking for someone with experience creating or maintaining data
processing systems to help us build and mature our data analytics approach
and systems to improve our capability to process and understand security
data from an ever-increasing set of source systems, primarily driven by the
bank’s drive to embrace cloud technologies.
Essential:
* Experience with Cloud Technologies such as Containers (Docker/Kubernetes)
and Blob Storage
* Current experience engineering or maintaining data processing systems
* Current experience with Python and the use of common data handling
libraries such as Pandas
* Knowledge of CI/CD tools and methodologies
* A willingness to keep up to date with new and emerging technologies and
techniques, and an appetite for continuous professional development
Desirable:
* Experience measuring and working to SLO and SLIs.
* Experience using statistical analysis techniques such as Control Charts,
Monte Carlo and Bayesian Analysis.
* Experience using collaboration platforms such as Atlassian
Jira/Confluence and GitHub.
* Experience working using agile principles.
* Experience processing with data presented in graph data models.
