We currently have an exciting opportunity to join Direct Line Group as Property and Liability Pricing Analyst on a full time permanent basis.

The Role:

You will support your manager in providing an innovative and effective analytical pricing service for Direct Line Group with a focus on the delivery of Pricing recommendations for Commercial Lines Property & Liability business for our non package broker products.

What you'll be doing:

Provide input and recommendations into rating design and functionality.

Development of a price simulation tool to be able to test and review future pricing of the model

Development of an efficient and effective pricing test pack to cater for all rating developments

Support the price testing process, including prioritising and fixing defects in an accurate and timely way

Assist in setting go-live rates for the new rating structure, this includes carrying out data manipulations, providing analytical insights, and having proactive communications with key partners.

Review the usability of external data sources and make recommendations on their use.

Support other members of the project pricing team where required, such as providing feedback and reviewing of output.

Being a key teammate within a wider project team. This includes actively communicating progress and challenges as they arise, along with providing support and suggesting solutions.

Find opportunities for improvements to enable tasks to be performed in a more efficient manner. Challenge current processes appropriately with suggestions as to how these can be refined.

What we are looking for:

You will have experience in insurance pricing or financial services

Knowledge of Radar and Excel is crucial, with knowledge of Alteryx being an advantage

Proven analytical ability

Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, able to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience

Good at partner management

Experience in testing of new product developments

Strong teammate but able to use own initiative to progress work independently

Educated to at least degree level or equivalent in a numerical degree
