Do you have a way with words? We want a dynamic, enthusiastic Communications Assistant to join a team supporting the nations number one news brands and more. Our vacancy includes on-the-job training, which will appeal to anyone wanting to break into the fast-paced and exciting world of communications.

Responsibilities will include

-Monitoring and updating the dmg media communications campaign calendar

-Writing news stories for the dmg media weekly newsletter (internal)

-Writing content for the intranet

-Updating dmgmedia.co.uk and corporate LinkedIn page

-Ability to create surveys electronically using in-house tools, monitor response rates and create reports for responses

-Ability to analyse metrics and identify readership trends

-Event management

-Creating PowerPoint presentations

-Drafting internal communications for a variety of internal audiences and ensure that all messages follow dmg medias tone of voice

-Supporting the communication team on campaigns across the business

-Provide administrative support to communication team

-Proofing creative content and written copy

Desired skills

-Is a brilliant writer with professional, clear verbal skills

-Is confident in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

-Can work to tight deadlines within a small, busy team

-Solid editing and researching skills

-Is comfortable speaking to senior business partners

-Has strong organisational skills and attention to detail

-Can use Photoshop (a desirable, not essential)

-Video editing skills (a desirable, not essential)

-Ability to produce content in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

-Has a keen sense for a new story

-Is highly motivated and committed to getting the job done

-Can generate great ideas proactively
