What we are looking for

The successful applicant will lead the change in Green Agenda for DLG Auto Services, to craft and implement a series of initiatives to reduce emissions from the processes and power sources used in the vehicle repair activity and have a real passion for the green agenda

To deliver the sustainability plans for the DLG Auto Services business in line with the DLG targets to reduce emissions

This role can be based at any of our offices/sites nationally

You will be leading a small team and working closely with the Sustainability group

What the role involves

To lead the change in Green Agenda for DLG Auto Services, to craft and implement a series of initiatives to reduce emissions from the processes and power sources used in the vehicle repair activity. To plan, design, lead, control and ensure successful delivery of a portfolio of projects to deliver a reduction in emissions in the DLG Auto Services Business.

To effectively communicate across the business, inform key partners, Exco, Motor Network Directorate and to drive and implement change through a cross functional group of people being aligned on outcomes and optimising change through a test and learn approach

What we need you to do

Work with the Programme Sponsor to ensure that strategic business objectives are embedded in the programme strategy. Ensure that the programme board and team have the best available representation from the business (and external parties where required).

Lead the programme over the full project and change lifecycle, to meet the agreed business needs, identifying and utilising the individual investment concepts and business resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality

Ensure the programme adheres to the agreed policies, standards and governance

Ensure that a programme benefits realisation strategy is created and executed

Maintain a fully coordinated plan that includes timelines, resource requirements and landmarks for each project within scope

Define costs and track these to handle the portfolio budget throughout its lifecycle

Work closely with the business area / programme leadership team to drive progress against the programme plan and identify any areas where mitigation or interventions are required

Effectively handle risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and change requests.

Implement a training plan, site engagement plan to increase the sustainability challenge and the reason for the need for change

Work with the cross functional team and functional change managers to ensure the successful outcome of the programme by integrating work streams, tracking inter-dependencies and measuring progress against the programme plan.

Develop and deliver a plan with the procurement team to improve the sustainability delivery in our supply chain
