About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ordnance Survey for a Senior Marketing Manager to join the Customer & Marketing team within the Geospatial Solutions business unit.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing Geospatial Solutions, you will work within the Customer & Marketing team to help develop, improve and communicate our product and solutions. As Senior Marketing Manager you will utilise your first-class digital marketing skills and experience with a focus on running successful inbound marketing campaigns that raise both awareness and engagement amongst our target audiences; all whilst supporting the overall GB Data business unit growth strategy.

Working in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment, within a small but dedicated Team you will take responsibility for driving the creation and delivery of integrated marketing plans across the UK, ensuring that our products and services are communicated to new and existing target users with clear objectives, utilising the optimum tactics for maximum ROI, whilst driving forward our brand vision and values.

What were looking for 

You will be a strategic thinker with a clear customer-focus, and possess the ability to understand business and customer demands and translate these into marketing briefs across media, content and creative; managing through to delivery and reporting including agency management where applicable.

You will be up-to-date and comfortable dealing with the latest trends and best practices in inbound digital marketing and preferably in ABM marketing too and the link between offline and online activity.

An ability to understand digital services and product development, alongside an analytical and data-driven attitude to marketing and ROI reporting is essential, as is demonstrable experience and success across digital marketing. Direct experience in the principles of inbound digital marketing is highly desirable.

You will be comfortable working both cross-functionally as a team-player, and independently. You will use your experience and tenacity to drive the product forward working closely with the sales and propositions teams and create results-focused marketing plans that maintain customer retention rates and attract new customers.

You will possess and utilise excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

In addition, were also looking for the following essential attributes: 

An excellent record of marketing achievement within a complex and successful B2B organisation

Both analytical and creative skills able to process customer and marketing insight and translate into meaningful actions and activities, and customer-facing assets

Strong skills and experience in marketing deliverables, ROI and reporting

Proven hands-on experience in marketing of digital services and / or technical products; using both on- and off-line marketing tactics and techniques.

International marketing and market entry experience, including go-to-market planning and delivery

Excellent at multi-tasking, meeting deadlines and working cross-functionally

Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate up and down the organisation

Financial and commercial awareness with the ability manage and report on budgets

Proactive approach with decision-making skills

Desirable attributes: 

A Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field or CIM Diploma / Postgraduate Diploma

Experience and success in the creation of marketing campaigns and activities, ideally in technology sector

Knowledge and experience of working in the Energy & Infrastructure sector

Demonstrable experience in utilising marketing automation and paid social media platforms

Content marketing knowledge and experience
