We\'re looking for a Member Nominated Director

Co-op is owned by 4.6 million members – as a Member Nominated Director, you\'ll be a voice for our members in the boardroom. As members and shared owners of our business, the Co-op Board of Directors work together to oversee our commercial and financial performance, and make sure Co-op\'s unique values and principles are front and centre in everything we do. We give members a say in how our business is run – and we think that\'s a better way of doing boardrooms. 

At Co-op, we\'re committed to racial equality and inclusion. We\'re proud of how diverse our Board is but we need to do more to reflect the communities we serve across all of our businesses. So, we\'re looking for applicants who are keen to play a part in eliminating the inequalities that currently exist within our Co-op and the wider world too. 

To be considered for the role, you need to be a Co-op Member with proven board experience. It\'s important you can demonstrate real commercial acumen and an appreciation of the strategic challenges inherent in a large and complex business like Co-op. A commitment to our co-operative values is equally essential.

If you\'re selected as a candidate, you\'ll take part in an election in which our members will vote. If you\'re elected, you\'ll be appointed to the Co-op Board after our AGM (Annual General Meeting) in May 2021.

The closing date for applications is on Thursday 17th December 2020. This year, we have one Member Nominated Director seat up for election.
