About the role
Triodos Bank is one of Europes leading sustainable banks, whose mission is to make money work for positive social, environmental and cultural change. We are excited to be recruiting for the role of Senior Marketing Manager, who will form part of the Marketing & Communications management team working to raise the profile of Triodos Bank externally, and help the Bank deliver its commercial objectives.
Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, you will lead on brokering relationships with key internal customers, which may include Group colleagues, retail, business and investment banking and corporate finance team. The Senior Marketing Manager also shapes and leads strategic brand and product campaigns and over sees production of a wide range of marketing materials. It commissions and evaluates market and brand research and commercial insight and manages relationships with external agencies including design and media planning.
Responsibilities:
-Plan, execute and drive the marketing strategy for key areas of the business, in order to make a positive contribution to the banks mission and goals, focusing efforts strategically to ensure targets are met
-Create, deliver and measure all marketing activity in support of TBUKs business plan and objectives
-Proactively identify and develop opportunities to deliver creative, innovative marketing initiatives and lead the marketing team to drive robust innovation that includes analysis, evaluation and risk management, in order to drive the bank forward and maintain and enhance its position within the market
-Manage the promotional budget for all marketing activities, alongside PR/comms budget, collaborating with the Communications & PR Manager to ensure spend and impact are maximised
-Broker and lead significant agency relationships to extend the capacity of the internal team, ensuring best practice and partnership working to achieve successful outcomes
-Act as a brand expert adviser and custodian of the Triodos Bank brand, ensuring consistent and coherent delivery and application inside and outside the bank
-Play an active role as the TBUK Marketing lead in Group-wide projects and Marketing Communications Platforms so as to share with and learn from other branches
-Lead on market research in order to drive successful campaigns and have a true understanding of the banks customer base, their motivations and drivers and our overall brand value
-Recruit and develop talent and potential across the marketing team so that our people always deliver results in a healthy and sustainable way
-Ensure the department adheres to internal policies, procedures, and processes necessary for the banks compliance and internal control framework
-Overseeing, managing and participating in ad hoc projects that may include risk management, and other priority activities e.g. fraud awareness
-Lead events at which the Bank is represented, represent the Bank externally in meetings and as a speaker at conferences
-Comply with all regulatory obligations and internal governance to help ensure ethical behaviour which delivers fair outcomes for TBUK customers

You be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in creating and executing marketing strategy across all channels, brand/asset management and management of a wide range of relationships, including external agencies. An excellent working knowledge of how and where media relations, events, digital/online channels and content marketing can be used to amplify and leverage the impact of these strategies is essential, alongside the ability to handle multiple deadlines and changing or competing priorities with ease. Previous integrated marketing communications experience is essential, ideally within an agency environment along with experience of line managing teams to deliver on strategic objectives. Excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence and negotiate are also crucial.
You should respond positively to change and the challenges and opportunities it brings, be able to inspire others and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills presenting information clearly and with confidence. The ability to independently tailor information and messages to a depth and level appropriate to the needs of individual stakeholders, is essential.
What we offer
In return for your commitment and hard work, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary of up to £55,000 (depending on experience), plus a benefits package including:
-Non-contributory pension scheme from your first day of 8% in year 1 and 10% from year 2 onwards
