Reporting to the UK Chief Operating Officer (COO), the Financial Crime Analyst is a first line of defence role sitting in TBUKs Operations department. It provides specialist knowledge and hands on support to operational teams and is particularly instrumental in ensuring that TBUKs controls remain fit for purpose, prevent crime and protect our customers in an evolving landscape.

The role is responsible for ensuring that policies and processes are embedded in the operational teams, for designing and overseeing a programme of continuous improvement to our processes and controls, for providing reporting into relevant governance bodies and specifically for heading up the Fraud Forum, reporting into the Non-Financial Risk Committee.

Responsibilities:

-Provide 1st LOD expertise and challenge to the operational teams designing procedures and work instructions, ensuring full compliance to relevant policies

-Review and challenge relevant RCSA (risk control self-assessment) outputs

-Develop and oversee delivery of a workplan for continuous strengthening of controls to fight financial crime and protect our customers

-Proactively identify emerging threats and trends through analysis of TBUK alerts and external industry data

-Work with UK and Group colleagues to tune and develop controls to ensure they remain appropriate and effective

-Identify opportunities to optimise efficiency and effectiveness of TBUK operational teams and work with UK and Group colleagues to implement changes

-Partner with Marketing & Communications to develop their proactive customer communications programme with the aim of providing best possible protection for our customers

-Act as Product Owner for TBUKs KYC & Fraud Domain Team, providing specialist advice on all aspects of financial crime

-Oversee the implementation of regulatory change in the fields of fraud and financial crime outside of the KYC & Fraud Domain remit

-Co-ordinate (when needed) crisis response to specific events including reactive customer communications

-Review and validate Victim of Crime reports prepared by operational teams

-Collate data and submit external reporting (e.g. FCA REP017 Payments Fraud Report and UK Finance monthly fraud reporting)

Lead the periodic SIRA (systematic integrity risk analysis) exercise, co-ordinating with all relevant departments to collate and challenge their input

-Act as Contract Manager of relevant outsourced services (e.g. CIFAS), fulfilling vendor management responsibilities (e.g. performance reporting, service reviews) as outlined in TBUK policies

-Maintain links with other parts of the Triodos Group, TBUK departments and external parties (banks, regulators, industry experts) to maintain awareness of the evolving Financial Crime landscape and best practice in this domain

-Lead a co-worker education programme (co-ordinating with 2nd LOD, HR and operational teams) to maintain awareness and increase knowledge across the UK co-worker population

To be successful in this role, you will possess relevant experience of working in the field of financial crime, preferably in a retail banking environment supporting both personal and business customers. First-hand experience with technical solutions used to identify and prevent money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud. Ability to chair large meetings with multiple stakeholders and interests

You will possess the ability to interact with all levels of the business with credibility and friendly professionalism and create clear, realistic expectations. Possess the ability to communicate complex issues and ideas in simple terms. Excellent, clear and concise written communications with experience writing policies or processes for different audiences. Experience of leading projects and/or continuous change programmes, preferably in an Agile change environment. A proactive and flexible approach to problem solving, able to deliver high quality results in a rapidly changing environment. Experience in collating and interpreting management information for different stakeholders, including risk governance committees.

What we offer

In return for your commitment and hard work, you will be rewarded with a salary of up to £45,000 (depending on experience), plus a benefits package including:
