Purpose of Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Underwriter to join our Farm Web team. This is a home based (remote) role offered on full-time, permanent basis.

You will form part of our underwriting team to win and retain profitable business from brokers serviced by your assigned Region, which will give you the opportunity to improve and develop your underwriting and trading skills.

Key Accountabilities

Top and Bottom Line Financial Performance for the Region

Meeting and where possible, exceeding brokers service expectations

Building relationships with key broker personnel to support business goals

Deliver high quality service to your Regions brokers

Deliver rate carry requirements for your areas of responsibility

Ensuring all activities are carried out within Governance Frameworks

Contribute to the wider business activities

Developing your own Personal Development Plan

Ensuring personal output is accurate and timely

Identify, own and manage the risks involved in running our business appropriate to my role, in line with the Direct Line Group risk framework

Skills and Qualities you'll need:

Previous underwriting experience

Excellent interpersonal skills

Good attention to detail

Experience or an understanding of the insurance industry

Awareness of agricultural market, agricultural motor insurance knowledge

Hours: 35 hours
