Support Coordinator

Swindon, Wiltshire

Permanent, Part Time 15 hpw

Salary of £19,000 to £20,250 pa, pro rata 

£9.72 per hour if youd prefer to work on our bank on a casual basis

We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our brilliant team. You will be based in Swindon and support our brilliant customers, who have a range of mental health conditions and support needs.

We support our customers, who live in our self-contained flats and shared homes in Swindon.

We help to support them to gain independence and the skills needed to move forward independently.

About our team

Youll be working alongside our fabulous team who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements. To us were not just a team were a €œwork family€. Our manager is Debbie who has worked with Homegroup for 6 years. There are 6 of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! 

Working hours

Hours and days to be agreed. Youll be working between the hours of 9am and 5pm between Monday and Friday.  We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.

About you

Youre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds. 

Youll help change our customers lives (and our services) for the better by undertaking risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews. Youll create bespoke and personalised support plans with and for your customers.  Each plan will look to meet our customers individual needs and aspirations, making sure they meet safeguarding and confidentiality requirements. Youll also have responsibility for coordinating our support workers, apprentices and volunteers, and working collaboratively with external agencies, to assess and engage support for our customers.

We empower our customers to develop the independent living skills they need, to successfully move on. Together well make a difference!

To keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!) Youll be given the latest IT kit, which could include a Surface Pro tablet and smart phone, supported by our new online integrated IT system which means that you dont have to be in the office as you can complete support plans on the go. 

To make sure our customers are well supported, its important that you have worked in a supported housing or housing services environment before. Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help to you understand how things work at Home Group!

You may need to travel around to spend time with your customers. You could do this role using public transport, or if you drive and have access to a car that would also be amazing! We pay your expenses to cover this use!

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
