The Role…

In this influential role, you will help accelerate the delivery of the Soho House people plan, focusing on the work that we are taking forward to create an inclusive culture where our workforce represents the diverse community that we serve, and that the services we provide include and provide for their needs. By drawing on your experience of equality, diversity and inclusion legislation, knowledge of best practice, as well as track record in delivering large scale improvement programmes, you will be instrumental in making sure that we live up to our ambitions, both internally and publicly. You will be a key point of contact with teams across the global business, partnering to educate, advise, guide and champion behaviours that support diversity and inclusion. The Director will manage D&I managers and coordinators across the globe, and report into the Chief People Officer.

Main Duties…

-Responsible for developing and embedding inclusion, diversity and culture improvement across the business, working collaboratively with the global people function to support the delivery of this multi-faceted agenda.

-Take a systemic view of inclusion, wellbeing and culture to ensure change and improvement is embedded across all levels and functions.

-Work with our Learning & Development team to create and execute blended learning for D&I trainings and education

-Design, develop and implement organisation-wide inclusion, wellbeing and culture strategies with consistent core elements that drive towards delivering the overarching shift required, yet are tailored and impactful for different business areas and audiences across the organisation.

-Work closely with the communications team to develop a communication framework, taking the lead on drafting and preparing copy to raise awareness of the company’s diversity and inclusion strategies.

Influence, educate and manage key stakeholders including the C-suite, Directors, the Executive Team and senior leadership teams across the business.

-Continually review current and future inclusion, culture and diversity goals for the organisation, identifying strengths, gaps and drivers to keep developing towards our optimum workplace.

-Engage with and enrol partners across the business, to ensure understanding and enrolment within the D&I strategy and program intent, philosophy, outcomes, enrolment & registration process, timelines, individual accountability, and measures of success.

-Work with the People Analytics team to create reports and presentations reflecting the wellbeing of the organisation and capability to achieve its purpose and organisational goals.

-Manage budget related to diversity training and events

Requirements

-Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in diversity and inclusion

-Extensive experience working on diversity and inclusion initiatives, projects or programs.

Strong people leadership and the vision to create and sustain a culture of accountability, ownership and delivery within the team.

-Ability to engage, inspire and motivate others, actively encourage them to be innovative and proactive and empower them to make decisions and take responsibility for those decisions.

-Comfortable with data and curious about People Analytics. Ability to communicate insight to HR and business area colleagues and influence the ability to think laterally and strategically.

-Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills. Ability to influence confidently across the depth and breadth of executive and senior leadership.
