About the role
An opportunity has arisen for two permanent Senior Project Managers to join the Acquisition and Integration team. These roles will provide leadership, management and governance within high profile programmes in the Group & ServCo. Integration, and Migration domains. Ideal for candidates with strong project/ programme management experience and a track record of delivery.
Your excellent stakeholder engagement, risk management and people leadership skills will be able to be utilised and grown within this portfolio of work stretching across most areas of the Phoenix business. Individuals with particular experience in Finance, Integration, or policy migrations would be of particular interest, however this will not preclude strong candidates from being considered.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for planning, governance and successful delivery of your assigned projects / programmes
- Scope may include all aspects of business and/ or technology delivery
- Programmes can include complex technical delivery and significant engagement with 3rd parties
- Stakeholder engagement up to Exec level is expected
Continually assess the delivery model to ensure it remains effective and efficient.
Day-to-day delivery management throughout the programme life cycle of all aspects of business (Business readiness, process, comms, and organisational design) and technology (infrastructure, data, application changes) and ensuring appropriate service design/ acceptance is in place.
Plan the overall delivery schedule, aligning with wider programme roadmaps and monitoring progress.
Define and source resources required, engaging with key internal and external suppliers
Provide leadership and guidance to the teams working directly on the delivery of the agreed scope
Manage the programme budgets
Proactively manage risks /issues and taking corrective measures
Coordinate dependencies and assumptions within and without the programmes
May include line management of Project Managers
Proactively manage stakeholder communications and relationships
Ensure all stakeholders at the widest level are aware of the programme(s) and how they are impacted
Provide excellent written and verbal communications and inputs into wider governance boards
Essential
Proven track record of handling of complex projects and programmes including the appropriate management methodologies and techniques
Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience of influencing director level stakeholders
Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in the programmes
Strong leadership and management skills, able to create a sense of community amongst the members of the programmes
The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
Good negotiation skills
Programme level financial/ budgetary skills
Experience of risk assessment and management principles and processes
