We are Onward, a leading provider of quality and affordable homes for rent, shared ownership and sale across the North West. Proud to do so much more than just provide a roof over our customers’ heads, we own and manage over 35,000 homes and are now one of the largest registered providers of social housing based solely in the North West of England. We have a clear vision ‘To make a positive difference in the communities we serve’ and we are highly ambitious, with plans to build 1,600 affordable homes across the North West by 2023.
It’s an exciting time to join Onward and we are now looking for an exceptional property development professional to join our Board. Our long-term development programme is significant, and this is a key appointment for us as we look to attract the additional, visionary skills to support our growth ambitions. Our new Non-Executive Director will also demonstrate strategic insight to help guide, support and challenge the executive team.
With relevant development expertise from large and complex organisations, you’ll be commercially astute, creative, and focused on ensuring the highest standards of integrity and corporate governance. Your positive, energetic approach will be valued within our customer-centric culture, supporting our teams as we deliver our strategic growth ambitions. This is an excellent opportunity for a current or aspirant NED to help us capitalise on the many opportunities available to us, making a lasting difference to peoples’ lives.
At Onward we’re working towards creating positive spaces, which extends to not only to the communities we serve but to our workplaces being positive spaces that are open, diverse and inclusive. Onward is committed to being an open, diverse and inclusive organisation in every aspect of our work.
