Temporary for 12 months, with progression opportunities available for successful candidates

Full Time (37.5 hpw)

Salary £4.55 to £8.72 per hour, depending on age (this is reflective of NMW)

So whats so great about this apprenticeship? Well, your wage will be higher than the national apprenticeship minimum wage, so start planning what to spend that extra cash on! Youll be employed for a 12 month period to get stacks of experience and launch your career! Youll start at NVQ Level 2 (equivalent to a GCSE) with a possible progression to Level 3 (equivalent to A-levels) and more than that - many apprentices secure a permanent role with us! Who knows where in future you will end up!

About the role

Youll be working with Taranjit, and you will support a team of colleagues to help our customers successfully achieve the outcomes outlined in their own individual support plans; that means providing our customers with a ‘helping hand and assisting them with some tasks to develop and maintain basic life skills and live independently.


Youll be working alongside our fabulous team, who are super passionate about supporting our customers to reach their goals and celebrate their achievements. To us were not just a team were a “work family”. Our manager is Taran, whos been with Home Group for over a decade. When shes not in work, shes a talented make-up artist and youll never be short of a curry or two as she loves to cook!


There are 11 of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! You will be joining our coordinator Shaunna and a team of support workers Nima, Sherbaz, Shannon who all have unique skills, personalities and ideas. Our team is linked in to our accommodation based service, which has a dedicated coordinator Carrie and Support Workers Alex,Sally and Ikra, all with excellent experience, so you are in safe hands.


Hours of work are usually 9am to 5pm but flexibility is important in this role.


Please note any offer of employment is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check through the DBS the costs of which are met by Home Group. 


Who were looking for

You can apply for this apprenticeship if you are a current or former Home Group customer.


Ideally you will have good written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and basic Microsoft Office Skills but before long youll be a real whizz!   You be great at working with people as part of a team, but must be able to work independently and use your initiative. Youll be keen to learn from others how to prioritise and manage your work load, but an eye for detail is important.
