Permanent, Part Time positions available, Various Hours and Shift Patterns

Salary of £18,200 - £19,200, pa, pro rata, plus brilliant benefits!

£9.72 per hour if youd prefer to work on our bank on a casual basis

We need Brilliant People like you to join us (and not just during this challenging time). We are doing things a little differently at the moment, so to keep you, our customers and ourselves safe well engage with you digitally where possible. 

 

We have a fantastic opportunity for a brilliant Supported Living Worker like you to join our fab and supportive team. Our CQC registered Extra Care residential service provides support to our brilliant customers, who are aged 55 and over.

 

We support our brilliant customers to maintain their independence in their own self-contained flats within a large extra care scheme. Our brilliant Care staff provide support with all aspects of personal care (this includes toileting and bathing), medication administration and ensuring our customers nutritional and hydration needs are met, as well as assessing health and wellbeing needs. We work alongside relevant health professionals and we support our customers to reduce loneliness and isolation. 

 

Youll help our customers identify their aspirations, and work with them to create person centred support plans that help them achieve these. Our aim is to support our customers to live their day to day lives as independently as possible.

 

We help our customers with the basics in life as well as supporting them with some of the fun things like accessing the community and joining in with activities to promote wellbeing. We also assist with daily living activities, medication and finances. In our CQC registered services we also support customers with varying levels of personal care. This means you will help our customers with things like changing pads, and assistance with bathing and dressing, administering medication and moving and handling them. The team will tell you that no two days are ever the same because everything we do is €œperson centered€ around our customers. Like our team, were sure youll find the role ever so rewarding.

About our team

Our team describe themselves as really friendly and approachable. In fact, when new members have joined us in the past, its been said that they felt welcomed by colleagues and our customers from day one! Were also super passionate about supporting customers and celebrating their achievements. With colleagues as warm and team spirited as ours, were not just a team were a €œwork family€! Our Registered Manager is Sophie, who is passionate about driving quality and compliance in all aspects of the care and support that we provide to our vulnerable customers. There are 16 of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! You will be working alongside three Coordinators and a Client Service Manager to support and lead our amazing team of Support Workers to provide the highest standards of care to up to 45 older people. 

 

Working hours

We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. Youll work on a rota basis and take your turn working weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend time doing the things that matter to you!

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.

 

About you

Youre passionate and motivated. To you providing care and support is more than just a job, you make every customer feel valued and respected. Youre compassionate and use your unique empathy and creativity skills to help our customers reach their full potential. Treating your customers with integrity, you ensure that they maintain their dignity at all times. 

 

Youll help change our customers lives (and our services) for the better by undertaking risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews. Youll create bespoke and personalised support plans with and for your customers.  Each plan will look to meet our customers individual potential and long-term goals, making sure they meet safeguarding and confidentiality requirements. Youll also have responsibility for coordinating our support workers, apprentices and volunteers, and working collaboratively with external agencies, to assess and engage support for our customers. To keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!) Youll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile.

 

To make sure our customers are well supported, its important that you have worked in a care and support environment before. You have a great understanding of professional boundaries, responsibility for safeguarding, risk assessment, confidentiality and have experience in case management.  Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help to you understand how things work at Home Group!

 

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
