Job Description

5 month - Fixed term contract

Illumina Laboratory Services offers sequencing services into the NHS Genomic Medicine Service from accredited medical laboratories in Cambridge. As the regulatory environment in which we operate evolves we need to plan and react. As Project Manager for the global Quality Assurance function for Laboratory Services you will be the primary point of contact responsible for planning and timely execution of projects relating to the ongoing regulatory compliance of our services. In this role you will also assist in the establishment and improvement of the quality management system.

Responsibilities:

Support internal projects relating to compliance and regulatory submissions

Report to quality leadership on the progress, resourcing and dependencies of projects.

Engage directly with internal stakeholders in the quality system creation/expansion.

Create project plans; drive prioritization to ensure timely execution of projects; revise project plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

Clearly and consistently communicate with leadership, internal teams on project status and deliverables Identify and minimize project risks

Work cross-functionally and cross-departmentally with Quality, Development, Supply Chain, Software, Bioinformatics and Laboratory Operations as well as with other Project Managers to support Illuminas design services

Effectively apply project execution methodologies and enforce standard practices

Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

Engage in trainings and internal user group discussions to share knowledge

Requirements:

Demonstrated ability to work with customers

Project management experience highly desirable

Computer experience and literacy a must

Work experience with NGS or Quality Management Systems/Regulated environment highly desirable

Excellent problem solving, verbal and written communications skills

Ability to operate within competing and changing priorities and timelines

Strong organizational and planning skills and high attention to detail

Experience in working within internal teams/task forces
