About the Role

In this role you will lead the operational engagement in the planning and development of new geospatial solutions, delivering plans which can be executed within the OS operational teams that build the capability required to support delivery of the OS growth strategy.

Responsibilities:  

Contribute to strategic options and plans by providing operational insight and analysis in the development of customer value propositions for new geospatial solutions in collaboration with customer facing teams

Personally, or through engagement of subject matter experts, provide the operational  expertise required to support the sales process, engaging with the internal and external customers, as appropriate, to gain insight that ensures requirements are defined to a level suitable for resources and deliverables to be agreed

Keep abreast of all pipeline opportunities and provide initial insight on potential solutions for early stage prospects

Ensure that operational capability development programmes are aligned to the anticipated demand for new geospatial solutions

Lead the operational involvement in geospatial solutions development, through the various phases from initial insight to mobilisation, keeping all managers briefed on project progress

Track industry developments through engagement with customers, professional bodies and vendors to understand how new capabilities could be incorporated into operational solutions, and contribute to the OS growth strategy

What were looking for:

Degree / professional qualification / membership or equivalent experience in relevant discipline

A broad knowledge of geospatial industry best practice, able to provide technical and operational options to meet customer needs and deliver best value for money

A proven track record in leading the development and implementation of geospatial solutions to meet new and challenging customer requirements

Experience of providing thought leadership through process, technology, and cultural change and influencing outcomes

Experience of working on international projects and implementing solutions in a global context

The role will be supporting our international business, so willingness and ability to travel is essential
