Our Engage Me Lab is creating a Native Mobile App totransform current digital experience in the Pensions eco system by adding a newchannel to our existing channels, in order to meet Lloyds Banking Group'svision of becoming the best bank for customers. The feature teams within theScottish Widows Mobile App landscape will be building, integrating anddelivering new products / journeys to our customers.

 

As a Quality Engineer in Mobile, you'll be responsiblefor the quality assurance of our mobile app code base, your main focus will beto contribute and improve the BDD expertise across the team and ensure we havea consistent and best practice approach.

 

You'll do this by following the automation frameworkwhilst completing manual device testing in sprint: covering functional andaccessibility testing. You'll be aligned to a Feature Team but you'll work veryclosely with your fellow Quality Engineers within the Lab/Value Stream.

 

Working in an Agile Environment to deliver new mobileproducts to market, you'll be required to collaborate closely with fellowSoftware Engineers, Business Analysts, Architects and Product Owners to designelegant solutions and elegant tests to prove them.

 

We feel this would best suit a premier Quality Engineerwho has a passion for digital & experienced in Behaviour Driven Development(BDD).

 

Your responsibilities, accountabilities &deliverables will include:

Design and build dependable, intuitive, intelligentautomation frameworks that prevent rather than cure issues and alsoself-healing applications that nurture our frameworks and application code

 

Complete manual exploratory functional and accessibilitytesting alongside the automated testing

 

Develop and/or extend frameworks, templates andguidelines for developing test scripts

 

Work alongside team members to support them with problemsolving and best practices

 

Review and approve test scripts that have been developedby other team members

 

Provide training & coaching to Quality Engineers tofurther optimise test quality

 

Raise defects in various tools (including Jira and ALM)

 

Write detailed test plans and end of test report

 

Understand and write the test data requirements andliaise with the Test Data team

 

Act as mentor to more junior Quality Engineers

 

We hope that you'll apply if:

 

You have a deep understanding of Mobile (iOS/Android) /NodeJS / BDD Best Practice

 

You can work without supervision and provide mentorshipand leadership to others

 

You have expertise with automated testing tools (such asAppium, WebDriverIO, Cucumber, RestAssured, Perfecto)

 

You are experienced in Performance Testing using toolssuch as Performance Centre / Load Runner etc.,

 

You bring a real passion for removing technical debt inevery way

 

You have an excellent understanding of programmingprinciples and best practice (e.g. for creating re-usable code, best practiceetc)

 

You're experienced reviewing colleague's work andproviding feedback to others

 

You're experienced in DevOps tooling for execution ofautomation tests such as Jenkins, GIT, GitHub Enterprise/GitLab, Docker.

 

You're experienced implementing a BDD frameworks in anagile environment

 

You have excellent communication skills, able to clearlypresent ideas and provide direction to others

 

You have a structured approach to problem solving and issueresolution
