Job description

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding professional to make a real difference in the way we serve and engage with Bedfordshire communities.

We are looking for a passionate Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Manager with significant experience of working at a senior level, developing and implementing strategies and action plans which help us to increase our organisations diversity and become a truly inclusive employer. Youll bring comprehensive knowledge of equality legislation, codes of practice, regulations and case law.

About the role

In this role you will be required to initiate, research, develop, implement and review campaigns, policies, procedures and strategies that actively promote equality, diversity and inclusion in relation to all aspects of the Services work.

You will also be required to engage and strengthen relationships with different community groups across Bedfordshire to ensure that safety, prevention and enforcement messages are delivered and targeted in culturally appropriate and effective ways.

About you

Your expertise, innovative thinking and ability to work with others to influence and build trusted relationships will allow you to creatively deliver and implement key initiatives and changes to statutory provisions and best practice across the Service.

You must be educated to degree level or evidence demonstrable equivalent experience, together with significant experience of working in the field of equality, diversity and inclusion. Along with significant experience of developing, implementing and auditing plans and policies and procedures at a strategic level.

You will also have significant experience of successful engagement with a wide range of community groups and in-depth experience of training delivery to a variety of audiences.
