We currently have an opportunity for you to join atalented team, that has grown considerably over the last three years and whoare dedicated to providing the necessary check point security appliancesprotection to the organisations networks. As part of this team, you'll be keyin the delivery for any security support and project requirements, includingimplementation, design activities and embedding best in class solutions.

 

You’ll share the responsibility ofsuccessfully protecting the 1 in 3 people who use our systems in the UK, aswell as our 10 million active online banking users. You can expect much of yourtime to be split between support and project work, as we continually improveour offering to become the Best bank for Customers. This means driving thetechnical solutions to real life service issues, using your depth of technicalunderstanding and capabilities.

 

In addition to your support responsibilities, you’lldemonstrate an ability and willingness to engage with programmes andinitiatives throughout the project life cycle, delivering their requirements.This role is both proactive and reactive in terms of approach to workload anddaily activity and combines the responsibilities of a being a support role, butalso includes the planning and implementation of planned changes role forprojects.

 

There'll be a 24/7 shift pattern in place across theteam, which is designed to provide the most robust level of defence to theservices our customers rely on us to provide. Working alongside a senior teammember, you'll use your technical skills and problem solving ability to quicklyresolve issues as they arise, at any time.

 

Here’s a flavour of your day-dayresponsibilities:

 

 * Planning theimplementation of complex changes

 * Deliveringchanges of all sizes and complexities for our customers

 * Working onmodern infrastructure, including cloud providers such as Azure

 * Monitoring theestate and working with colleagues and the wider IT community to identify andclose down service issues

 * Delivery ofinfrastructure and service improvement plans, including gateway upgrades andnew builds

 

What you’ll bring to this role?

 

 * CCSE/CCSA orqualified through experience with Checkpoint Security Appliances

 * A range of widerCisco Networks skills and knowledge is desirable

 * Ability todeliver into a multi-vendor, enterprise-level environment, working from beinghands on with the devices, to planning larger changes and implementations.

 * Finance Servicesknowledge/experience is desirable, with the knowledge of regulatedenvironments, but not essential
