Software Developer Intern

12 month Intern

You will be working alongside an R&D team within the Medical Genomics Research group who are focused on accelerating the adoption of genomics into medical practice, in particular in the treatment of cancer patients.

You will be contributing towards develop cutting-edge software that integrates results from whole genome DNA sequencing (WGS) and whole transcriptome RNA sequencing (WTS) into a fully integrated report that simplifies clinical interpretation.

We are looking for a software developer intern to contribute to our ongoing projects in this area.

Required skills:

Currently studying towards a Masters or in at least the 2nd year of a bachelors degree

Scientific Python programming (Numpy/Scipy/Pandas)

An interest in the application of sequencing technologies to human health

Experience with some of the following: Git, TeamCity, Jira, unit testing, continuous integration, scrum.

Beneficial skills:

Front-end development (JavaScript/React/Angular)

Bioinformatics/statistics/ML

SQL

R
