About the Institute of Fundraising

The Institute of Fundraising (IoF) is the professional membership body for UK fundraising. We support fundraisers through leadership and representation; best practice and compliance; education and networking; and we champion and promote fundraising as a career choice. We have over 650 organisational members who raise more than £10 billion in income for good causes every year, and over 6,000 individual members.

Our vision is Excellent Fundraising for a Better World. We believe that an equal, diverse and inclusive fundraising community is integral to delivering excellent fundraising. With the support of an independent expert panel, we have invested in developing our Change Collective Manifesto and EDI strategy for the IoF and the fundraising profession. 

We are now seeking a Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion to join us and transform the world of fundraising for the better.

The Role 

We are looking for a versatile, creative and socially conscious Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion to help us transform fundraising to be, and acknowledged to be, an equal, diverse and inclusive profession.

About You

The Head of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is a new position and we welcome applications from across the sector and those from other sectors. You will have proven:

- Your ability to promote and generate co-operation, building a shared vision and credible productive relationships and networks to deliver EDI objectives

- Expertise in relation to EDI legislation, policy and practice

- Your ability to deal with complex situations with a variety of potential outcomes

You may have previously held titles such as Head of Diversity, Head of Equality & Diversity, Head of Fundraising, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Consultant, EDI Consultant, or EDI Manager.

First interviews and test: Tuesday, 25th February 2020

Second interviews: Thursday, 5th March 2020
