Exeter, Devon

Salary circa £18,500, plus brilliant benefits

From £9.00 if you'd like to work flexible hours

Empowering customers to live rewarding and happy lives. Thats when it hits home.

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our fab and supportive team. We support the recovery of our customers, who are generally over 18 years old, and help them to gain independence within the community and to build on the support networks and skills to live fulfilling lives. Our CQC registered service supports customers in their own living environments, to learn and develop life skills, manage their own risks and outcomes with the aim being for them to move on to more independent living.

Our customers are unique, and very different in their own ways and in how we support them, but they all have varying Mental Health support needs! We know that no day is the same, one day you might be out shopping or helping your customer to pay their bills, or you could even end up at a Mariah Carey concert like our colleague Louise did! One of our customers even mentioned recently, €œThis is the best place I have lived at!€

About our team

Our team are tight and really have each other's backs, even though we are split across different locations. Many of our team have progressed their careers within Home Group. Becky, our Registered Manager has worked here for 6 years, and Adam and Geoff have all become managers having started in other roles. Geoff is the manager for this vacancy and he really enjoys rocking out on a Saturday night!

Our Clinical Lead Ian has only been with us for a few years, but loves the transition he has made to join us from the NHS. We are also investing in our teams clinical knowledge and experience, so when you join there is lots of scope for personal growth and development. But if you are happy doing your own thing then that is great too!

When you work

We support our customers 24 hour a day, each and every day. Youll work on a rota basis and take your turn working days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend it doing the things that matter to you! We're also pretty flexible, and need you to be flexible as well, since we all travel to our other locations, when we need extra cover.

Bank

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank.  You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.

About you

Youre resilient, calm and supportive, and while you care passionately about your customers and making a difference to their lives, you also know when to take a step back. You work independently and find great solutions that meet your customer's needs.

To make sure that we keep our records straight, and customers safe, it's really important that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!) Its also important that you are a real team player and relationship builder so that you can maximise the partnerships we have with external agencies

It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before. You will have a great understanding of professional boundaries, responsibility for safeguarding, risk assessment, confidentiality and have experience in case management. Dont worry, we wont drop you in the deep end, well help you to understand how things work at Home Group! What matters most to us and our customers is that you care and have a positive and energetic approach. Just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here.

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
