Are you a creative, results driven, direct marketer looking for a new opportunity to raise money so that no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own? Were looking for two individuals with direct marketing experience to join our fast-paced Individual Giving department as Direct Marketing Executives and help us acquire, retain and develop our supporters using various online and offline DM techniques. One post will be based in our Acquisition team and one in our Retention team.

This is an incredibly exciting time for Shelter as the entire organisation is rallying behind our ambitious strategy to end the housing emergency. To enable this strategy to become a reality, we have developed a new Income Generation plan that will see us significantly increase our annual income over the next three years. We need ambitious individuals who are passionate about our cause to join us at this exciting time. This is your chance to play a part in the fundamental change we are striving to achieve.

About the role

These are exciting and challenging roles that will see you working collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to collectively deliver income and expenditure targets in line with our Retention and Development strategy. You will work across various products including cash, crowdfunding, regular giving, supporter journeys and stewardship, and use multi-channel communications, including direct mail, telemarketing, email/online and PSMS.

Direct Marketing Executive - Retention

You will work to retain supporters from 12 months onwards, keeping them up to date on our work and motivating them to get involved.

Direct Marketing Executive Engagement

Sitting in our Acquisition team, you will focus on early engagement with new supporters, creating a fantastic programme of welcome activity and memorable moments in the supporter journey.

About you

Youll have a proven track record in direct marketing that has seen you use traditional and online methods to either recruit or develop customers/donors. Used to preparing, maintaining and reporting on income and expenditure budgets using spreadsheets, youll be confident using database packages and have a high level of numeracy and accuracy. Results driven, collaborative and customer focused, youre able to influence others, are willing to challenge the status quo and introduce new ideas, methods and processes.
