Job Description

London based with some UK travel

Imagine a world where people say: I can live the life I want to lead and Im valued for who I am, not identified by the disabilities Ive overcome.

Well lead the creation of a world where there is no barrier to sight loss. Our strategy focuses on being a catalyst for change, enabling people with sight loss, our customers, to live the lives they want. Around 2 million people live with sight loss in the UK today and our aims are to influence communities, connect people with sight loss to each other and wider networks and to society, by raising awareness and leading campaigns and influence for those who have the power to remove barriers.  Our plans are to re-focus our services to ensure we reach everyone who needs us, when they need us.

With a new Chief Executive recently joining us, we are keen to build our strength and lift our performance and impact. We have developed a new Chief Operating Officer role to manage the critical internal operational functions of IT, Property and HR. This brings especial accountability to oversee an exciting phase of systems improvement and digital capability creation, reshape the RNIB Property portfolio and design and implement a programme of improved people management. Across these functions there is a real need to build capability on a solid foundation, working with the Chief Executive, Executive Team and Board to support RNIBs strategy and simply improve the quality and reach of services that we deliver for our customers.

A corporate and collegiate team player, you will be a key contributor to the strategy, management and policies as a member of the Executive team. You will bring energy, commerciality, innovation and experience of systems improvement, new technologies and customer engagement. You will be comfortable with bringing pragmatic solutions and help to develop a culture that unlocks the talents of a passionate workforce of staff and volunteers. If you want to be a part of our bold new strategy, we are keen to hear from you.
