You’ll play a key role in raising NHS Blood and Transplant’s profile and increasing public awareness of blood, organ, tissue and stem cell donation.

You will support the Head of Corporate Communications and the Corporate Communication Managers in developing and implementing all areas of our corporate communications strategy; supporting our aims and objectives; promoting the purpose of the organisation and maintaining our professional corporate image and reputation with external stakeholders.

As an experienced communications professional you will be responsible for developing, managing and delivering our external communications. Your work will focus on stakeholder and parliamentary engagement however you will also enjoy collaborative working across the wider corporate communications team including national media and local communications.

Handling a large and constantly changing workload in a busy environment you will need to handle reputational issues under pressure. You’ll have a strong, instinctive approach to external affairs and the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with a very broad range of stakeholders and public organisations/representatives.

You’ll have an excellent knowledge of the workings of government and the importance of stakeholder engagement, as well as first class written and verbal communication skills.

Your instinctive approach to communications, first class judgement and political awareness will ensure that you excel in this role.
