With over 1,500 highly trained police officers and police staff, the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is a specialist armed police service. Responsible for providing protection to licenced civil nuclear facilities across the UK and to civil nuclear material in transit in the UK and abroad.  

We have seen unprecedented change and growth, including demand for firearms support to Home Office Forces at times of mutual aid. We are now seeking an experienced operational firearms leader as our new Assistant Chief Constable to help achieve our ambition of being recognised nationally and internationally as the leading organisation for armed protective security.

The CNC is on a journey; significant work has been completed already and as our new ACC you will help drive the overall operational performance of the CNC. 

To succeed, you will couple experience in a senior leadership role in a firearms command environment with the capacity and capability to lead transformational change. The CNC operates in a highly regulated environment, where safety and security are paramount, so experience of working operationally in a similar pressurised environment is critical.
