The Palace of Westminsters Restoration and Renewal Programme has been established to tackle the significant work that needs to be done to protect and preserve the heritage of the Palace and Westminster and ensure it can continue to serve as home to the UK Parliament in the 21st century. This is an enormous and unprecedented undertaking, which is expected to be the most complex renovation programme of any single building the UK has ever seen.
With the recruitment of the Chair and Non-Executive board well underway, we are now seeking outstanding candidates to become the Delivery Authoritys inaugural Chief Executive. Working closely with the Board, the Chief Executive will provide leadership to the programme, build an executive team and ensure that it delivers a high-quality result on time and to budget.
The Chief Executive will be an experienced and strategic board-level leader, with a track record of running high-profile organisations or programmes of genuine complexity and scale. Resilient and comfortable with ambiguity, they will be a first-class communicator and relationship builder, able to work positively with an unusually wide range of stakeholders and under significant public scrutiny.
