Job Description

The Scottish Government is seeking a highly motivated individual for this Senior Civil Service appointment as HM Chief Inspector of Prosecution in Scotland.

Appointed by the Lord Advocate, the Chief Inspector is the head of Her Majestys Inspectorate of Prosecution in Scotland.  The Inspectorate is a self-contained body within the Scottish Government and is responsible for the inspection of the operation of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service.

Appointment will be made on the basis of a 3 year fixed term appointment with the possibility of extension. The post is full-time but alternative working patterns will be considered.
