We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our really awesome team as a Housing Manager. Your roles in a nutshell, is to make our customers happy! Its not just about providing our customers with a home, its about building relationships with them. This means that when it comes to those situations that are a bit difficult or tricky (which do happen from time to time) that we make it easier to deal with.


Yes, we collect rent, chase arrears, fill void properties, manage estates and deal with anti-social behaviour. But its so much more than that. Its also about working closely with our colleagues to make sure that where our customers need support, that we help them to live their best lives!


About our team
To us were not just a team were a work family. Our manager is Anne Marie and has been working for us for over 18 years! There are 7 of us in the team, and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! 


You'll join our team of five, who are Sheonagh, Leanne, Alison, Weronika and Isabelle, who have a whopping combined total of 35 years' experience between them! We all work hard but have fun too, and when not at work you'll find us shopping, going to the cinema, or training for 10k runs or half marathons! We're looking forward to welcoming you and to sharing our skills and knowledge with you!


Youll work across Dundee but will have the flexibility of working either from home or in one of our local offices. The great news is that well give you the kit to make that easy.


Working hours
As a team were critical to supporting our customers. This means youll work on an annualised hours basis covering the hours of 8 am to 8 pm Monday to Saturday. The good news is that you will have a degree of flexibility, as its the teams unwritten rule that you attend the important appointments in life. So whether its your childs school play, your partners graduation, or to get your new fridge delivered well work with you in what matters. Our focus is on getting the job done, not your working hours!


About you
You'll have a proven passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help our customers. You will demonstrate effective relationship, negotiation, conflict resolutions skills and the ability to self-manage and prioritise. You'll also need an understanding of housing, neighbourhood management, housing law, universal credit, welfare benefits and how this relates to the work of a Registered Provider.


You will be responsible for carrying out generic Housing Management activities including arrears, void management, estate management, customer involvement, income management, lettings and other related tasks. You will continuously improve services to meet challenging targets and obtain best value for customers, working in partnership with stakeholders, external partners and colleagues. You will also signpost our customers to our varied access channels within the contact centre, improving their access to our range of services.


Here at Home Group we have invested heavily in our future and use current and up to date equipment. Youll be issued with the latest kit, which could include a Surface Pro and mobile. So it's really important to us that you are technologically savvy (or at the very least not a technophobe!)


It would be amazing if you have worked in this type of environment before, however its your €œcan do€ positive attitude and enthusiasm that are critical to make this role a success. We can nurture your talent, just let us know in your cover letter why you have a passion for working here!


As this is a Mobile working and community based role, you need to be able to drive, as well as having access to a car insured for business purposes. Dont worry, well pay you expenses to cover this use!


If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which well pay for.
