Inside Sales Account Manager - French speaking

The Team:

Illuminas EMEA Corporate offices are based at Granta Park, Cambridgeshire. Becoming a part of the Inside Sales team of around 25 at Illumina you will be working in a fast paced, EMEA wide role where you will be engaged in a variety of projects, supporting sales within the French speaking regions and dealing directly with customers to ensure we offer the right solution for their needs. You will be one of several French speakers in our team, working closely with colleagues in the UK as well as those out in the field, and youll be able to travel occasionally to meet customers in person.

Basic Function and Scope of the Position:

You will manage the customer sales process for specific accounts and sales opportunities via phone/video-call and e-mail, you will engage with existing customers and qualified sales leads, guiding customers to the Illumina products that best meet their needs. You will also coordinate with internal resources to address customer questions/objections, provide pricing by creating and submitting individualized quotes and closing the sales process through the point of order receipt. You will be part of a close-knit team, both internal and field based, working together to meet and exceed sales quotas for a specific sales territory.

You will have primary ownership of Tier 3 accounts on the sales territory covered and you will have responsibility for creating a strategy to develop the existing accounts and develop new ones, working together with the lead generation team, field sales team and inside sales manager.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

    Manages the customer sales process for specific territory and accounts via phone and email. Potential to do field visits as required to help advance opportunities.
    Meets sales targets and is responsible for accurate forecasting and maintaining up to date contact and opportunity information in CRM database.
    Engages with existing customers and qualified sales leads, guiding customers to the Illumina products that best meet their needs, coordinating with internal resources to address customer questions or objections, providing budgetary pricing, creating and submitting individualized quotes and closing the sales process through the point of order receipt.
    Working either individually or together with the Lead Generation Specialist team on prospecting activities to find new accounts and develop new opportunities.
    Works collaboratively with the wider sales team including TAMs, ISAMs, Sales Specialists and Service Contracts team.
    Establishes and maintains strong, positive, productive relationships with customer accounts including product end-users, management and purchasing contacts.
    Tracks and reports on all activities to managers.

Preferred Educational Background:

    Bachelors degree in Science or Technical disciplines or equivalent required.
    Life Sciences (especially Molecular Biology) or Chemistry backgrounds preferred

Preferred Experiential Background:

    Fluency in English and French required
    Knowledge of Genetic analysis techniques ( PCR / NGS / Sanger etc)
    Able to quickly grasp and master highly technical concepts and articulate them well to others.

    Outstanding listening, verbal and written communication skills - articulate and quick thinking.
    Team goal oriented with a focus on achieving team sales performance metrics.
    Detail oriented and ability to focus in a fast paced environment.
    Proven successful sales experience with a technical product line a plus but other sales experience would be considered
